This fine Piedmontese console is made of hand-carved wood, lacquered with a red background and richly gilded, with a marble top presumably from the Pyrenees. The refined console is a rare item due to its red lacquer coloring, which is quite unusual.
On the front, a large drawer features comfortable carved and gilded knobs and decorative gilded carvings with a geometric pattern reserve on the lower part and a central medallion with a male head in profile inside a circle, with a large bow on top.
The neoclassical-style object has a pleasing line; the proportions and massive size of the legs characterize the console, which appears solid and vigorous. Splendid original patina.
The refinement and convenient dimensions of the console make it easy to place in different rooms of the house: ideal for a living room, entrance hall, or salon, it is a piece of furniture with great impact and very high decoration.
