Rare fireplace in absolute black Belgian marble from the early 1800s France, late Empire style, Charles X period transition. Note the workmanship on the feet and the two columns enriched with acanthus leaves and spirals on the sides. The marble frame may have small marble losses caused by time or opacity; the frame needs to be cleaned to remove residues of old plaster.
