Small and antique jewelry box (20x12 cm; h.11 cm) made in Sardinia around 1930/1940, reflecting the design of Sardinian chests. Constructed in solid chestnut wood, finely carved with classic Sardinian decorations, it rests on 2 cm high trestle feet. On the front, two peacocks hold a flower with their beaks, a decoration that is also found on the back of the box (photo no. 2). The base has clawed feet, floral elements on the sides (photo no. 7) and in the center of the lid: finished in the corners with quarters of multi-petal rosettes (photo no. 3). It is in good condition.
