Large 19th-century German walnut burl secretary desk

Description: Large and unusual secretary desk of excellent workmanship (structurally very solid) made in Germany in the second half of the 19th century: composed of 4 drawers, 3 of which are below the drop-front and one with a tulip shape below the walnut veneered top (cm.112x56). Supported by particular square-shaped feet with a concave upper section (photo n°8): solid walnut sides, burr veneered front. Inside the drop-front we find a beautiful walnut burl and feather walnut interior (photo n°9) with a large full-length compartment finished with 4 pilaster-shaped elements, while above, the crossbar is another long drawer with a moulded front. Seven drawers: one large central one (cm.22; h.27) and six small ones (cm.22; h.7), three on each side: the usable writing surface is cm.83x54. It is in a good state of preservation: the price includes restoration.
