A capable Venetian-Friulian follower of Giambattista Tiepolo; oil on canvas from the late 1700s or the first half of the 19th century. Resurrection of Christ. Skilled Venetian painter, probably a landscape artist, as can be inferred from the gently painted, soft hilly background; inspired by the painting of Giambattista Tiepolo. The work can likely be dated to the first half of the 19th century, as can be seen from the technique of creating the original canvas and the type of pigments used. Provenance, private collection of the upper middle class from Udine. Well restored (late 1800s?), lined and framed with slight and circumscribed pictorial retouches. Cm. 69x51 oval canvas.
