Neo-Renaissance pot holder in carved walnut, Italy, late 19th century. Removable upper support section, stem with a sculpted fantastic dragon figure, lower section consisting of a circular base supported by animal paws. The decorative apparatus is completed by carvings depicting rosettes, curls and various Greek patterns.
