Refined and rare Viennese classicism-empire game table. Vienna 1790 -1810 approx. Veneered in mirrored cherry feather, with bronze applications/ornamental motifs typical of the period. The table opens like a book, rotating on itself and showing the game board in refined leather (the latter only replaced). It is a work in practically intact condition with a shellac finish applied with a buffer using a museum standard technique on first patina. It measures cm. 78 high, 47.5 x 95 wide, 95x95 open top. Elegant and bright furniture with "clean" and minimalist lines, perfectly associated with high-end modern furniture in an ensemble of prestige and refinement.
