Vienna, circa 1820-30. Elegant small table from the early Viennese Biedermeier period, veneered in flamed ash, with elegant legs featuring the lyre instrument motif, which was fashionable at the time. Inlaid escutcheon in plum wood. In excellent condition and original patina, restored, consolidated, and with a shellac finish applied with a pad using a museum-standard technique, resulting in a slightly glossy finish. With a sober and elegant line, also excellent for juxtaposing with high-end modern pieces for a unique, exclusive, and refined elegance. Featuring the warm golden amber color of the antique flamed ash patina with a true shellac pad finish. Patina and signs of age consistent with its antiquity.
