Vienna 1830 c.a. Luxurious and elegant work table veneered in walnut feather. The piece is magnificently preserved and in perfect condition. High-quality walnut feather with lively mirrored grains and helically oriented supports. Drawer frame in noble maple wood. Decorative details and threads in maple. In patina, with shellac finish applied with a tampon using museum-standard technique. Measurements cm. 66.5x44.5 top 78 height. The master cabinetmakers of the Biedermeier period knew the places where the best trees grew and kept the secret. To obtain veneers with such beautiful grains, they also knew the best parts of the tree and cut the parts with great skill, obtaining wood effects that constitute the particular attraction of true Biedermeier furniture and represent a uniqueness and excellence in the world of fine antique furniture of all eras.
