Vienna 1825 - 30 approx. Rare Viennese writing desk from the early phase of the Biedermeier period with elegant "vase" motif legs. It is veneered in cherry feather, also against the grain and in a helical manner, with refined threading. The piece is practically intact with a conservative restoration done to perfection and shellac polishing applied on the first layer with a museum-standard technique, with a warm, original patina. With a minimalist design and compact dimensions, it is also excellent for combining with high-end modern furniture in an ensemble of refined elegance. It measures 94 cm wide, 56 cm deep, and 76 cm high.
