Some information regarding the artist.
(Lucca 1911 - Milan 2007) Painter, scenographer, graphic artist. He arrived in Milan in the 1920s, after spending his childhood in Liguria. He began working with the stage design company Bertini and Pressi. He enrolled at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts, as a student of Achille Funi. He worked in Milan during the time of Giacomo Manzù, Aligi Sassu, Arturo Martini, Renato Birolli, Lucio Fontana, Luciano Minguzzi, and many others who were his colleagues and friends. In the 1930s and 1940s, in addition to working with others on the stage design of major works at La Scala, he executed frescoes in Milan, Venice, the Certosa di Chiaravalle, Sanremo... In 1939, he was invited to exhibit at the Milan Triennale. In 1963, the gallery owner Carlo Cardazzo organized a solo exhibition at the "Cavallino" in Venice. He also exhibited, among other places, at the Argentario gallery in Trento, Pater in Milan, the Lodi Museum, Guelfi in Verona, 33 in Lucca, Mirteto in Florence, Vantaggio in Rome, Schettini in Milan, F22 in Palazzolo sull'Oglio, Lo Spazio in Brescia, Internazionale in Bergamo, in Palermo, and in Hamburg, Rotterdam, Brussels... Recently, he created the puppets and stage designs for "The Wizard of Oz." The themes of his works range from sacred art (The Bible and the Divine Comedy) to fantasy, and from stage design to frescoes and murals. His recent production on the theme of aliens is noteworthy.
