Rare, large, and monumental intact Empire period bookcase, in practically perfect condition. Measures cm. 233x175x56. Vienna 1810-1815. It is veneered in burr oak, with ebonized columns and details, as typical of the period and origin. Given its size, it was probably located in a castle or manor house, or in an important public office. Dismantlable for easy transport with an ingenious original system in perfect working order. Impressive, sober and elegant antique piece in good condition, also perfect for a professional studio or an ancient palace in a historic center. Consolidated and shellac buffed with museum standard technique on original first patina.
