Antique Regency mother-of-pearl engraved nécessaire case

Description: Antique and elegant nécessaire case from the Regency period (cm.6x4,5; h.11) with the upper part angled (photo n°5): of British origin:, è made of engraved mother-of-pearl with different decorations on each side. In the lid we find a very small silver plate engraved with a monogram M.H. (photo n°8) while, in the front part between grapes and vine leaves, two birds of paradise that are repeated on the sides with different kinds of flowers. The case contains six small utensils (h. cm.9) with mother-of-pearl handles in a wavy shape 3 cm high (photo n°4): tweezers for eyebrows, two small crochet hooks, a file, an awl and a corkscrew for medicines and perfumes. It is in excellent condition.
