Refined and rare game table of Viennese classicism - empire, also suitable as a console. Vienna 1795 -1810 approx. Veneered in mirrored cherry feather, with bronze applications/ornamental motifs typical of the period. The table opens like a book, rotating on itself and showing the game surface in refined leather (the latter only replaced). It is a work in practically intact condition with a shellac finish applied by pad with a museum standard technique on the original patina. It measures cm. 78 high, 47.5 x 95 wide, 95x95 open top. Elegant and bright piece of furniture with "clean" and minimalist lines, perfectly associated with modern high-end in an ensemble of prestige and refinement.
