Unusual and elegant work table/console "portafilati", from the classicism/early phase of the Viennese Biedermeier period, finely veneered in blond figured walnut with maple threads and animal bone details. Can be used as a centerpiece (walnut feather in the back). Finely veneered also on the inside. Original working lock. Restored and consolidated with shellac finish applied with a museum-standard tampon technique on the original patina. Vienna 1800-1815. Measures cm. height 79 width 51, depth 43.
