Early Viennese Biedermeier weekly chest of drawers veneered in the rare and precious bird's-eye maple burl.
Description:
Of rarity and museum quality, especially for the conditions of preservation and practical integrity, early Viennese Biedermeier weekly chest of drawers veneered in the rare and precious bird's-eye maple burl. The furniture, in its original patina, warm and golden, is Viennese from around 1815. Formerly owned by high Viennese nobility. Admirable the lateral columns, meticulously veneered in a helical manner with contraposition of the veins. The effect and warmth of this most precious essence united with the patina accumulated over the centuries with a shellac polishing, applied with a buffer using a museum standard technique, is truly extraordinary. Bird's-eye maple root is an essence that was normally used in small quantities in inlaid work and in the decoration of cabinets and secretaires. Its use over the entire surface of the furniture is very rare and attests to the high-ranking commission. It measures cm. 179 high, 112 wide, 54 deep. Look in photo 4 how this luxurious antique furniture matches the modern high-level decor (simulation created electronically by us - the other modern objects are not ours and/or for sale by us - just a "creative" example of matching - the rights of third parties are reserved).
