Description:
Pair of large eclectic self-supporting shelves in carved and gilded wood, Italy, third quarter of the 19th century. Shaped tops covered in velvet, uprights consisting of a shaped rear part to which are attached, on the front, architectural elements in the form of pilasters carved in Baroque style, the latter composed of "S" scrolls with curls at the ends. The pilasters are also decorated with foliate elements and floral festoons held by ribbons. Partially restored gilding.
