Interesting Sardinian chest carved in the early 1800s in solid ebonized chestnut wood (cm.146x59; h.99): opening from the top, it is carved with gouge cuts, half polypetal rosettes, series of parallel V's intersected at the vertex by a line called follas de pramma (palm leaf), centrally two peacocks on each side with a leaf between the beak and so on. The craftsman carved the decorations according to the country of origin: they could be floral, geometric or both. The height of the chest, including the feet, measures cm.99: the foot is cm. wide. 15, high cm.23. The price includes transport.
