Description:
Antique wall clock made in France during the Napoleon III period called Oeil De Boeuf (Bull's Eye). Square frame (cm.48x48) with wavy and faux wood lacquered band (cm.6 wide): inside a walnut wood passepartout with, in the 4 corners on an ebony background, a garland composed of small pieces of mother-of-pearl (photo n°8). Alabaster dial (cm.Ø24) with the inscription: L.s Roussy Frères a Toulouse, original hands and Roman numerals in porcelain (photo n°4) framed by brass cartouches (cm.3; h.4): the case (photo n°7) measures cm.40x40; h. cm.9. Recently, during the overhaul of the mechanism, a spring has been replaced: it is in perfect working order, functional and guaranteed.
