Chinese-style embroidered silk coat, early 20th century.

Rare early 20th-century women's coat, likely produced in China for the European market and inspired by the "Tangzhuang", the traditional Chinese men's dress of the Manchu Qing dynasty, in black silk, doubled in sugar paper-colored silk, with multicolored silk embroideries depicting stylized butterflies, flowers, and fruits. The closure consists of toggles, also in silk, with antique Chinese spherical buttons, in gilded brass, decorated with floral motifs. Length approximately 110 cm, shoulder width approximately 58 cm. Considering the period, the preservation conditions are fair.
