applied on poplar board and painted in oil.
The artist, of the Flemish school
he spent the last 12 years of his life in Italy,
period in which he made this engraving.
The subject is the meeting between Jesus and the Samaritan woman at the well,
whose symbolic meaning is the innovation brought by Christ
who offers the good news even to those who are not considered pure Jews
The print, rich in details, was painted in a later period and
applied to an embellished wooden board
from a gilded gold leaf frame.
The measurements indicated are the maximum ones,
The print measures 32cm wide and 21.5cm high
