Splendid Italian drop-front chest of drawers (between Tuscany and Liguria), very small, Louis XVI period. Olive and elm burl veneered on a poplar structure and threaded with maple and bois de rose. The interior of the fall front is veneered in walnut and contains 6 drawers and 2 secret compartments with 4 internal drawers. Complete with original contemporary handles and locks. Conservative restoration, French polish with shellac.
