Venetian Louis XV commode of exceptional beauty.
The stylistic perfection, the magnificent proportions, the accentuated serpentine shapes, the splendid materials used, but also the grandeur combined with extraordinary lightness, all contribute to making the piece of furniture extremely elegant and of unparalleled beauty.
It is the piece of furniture that most clearly expresses the stylistic code and the cabinetmaking skills achieved by the famous artisans of Venice in the 18th century.
Always considered the rarest and most sought after by major antique collectors, it lends itself to furnishing the most luxurious environments in an unparalleled way.
The choice of the two-drawer structure makes it even more slender, and the generous curves of the front and sides are highlighted by the high and sinuous legs, finely carved in dark patinated walnut wood.
Of remarkable beauty are the cylindrical front and rear corners that rest on the legs in the typical fashion of Venetian cabinetmakers.
The cloven-hoof feet are a peculiarity that distinguishes the finest production.
Authentic in all its parts, it is complete with the splendid original bronze handles and escutcheons.
This piece should be included in the most important publications concerning Venetian furniture of the 18th century.
We offer it to the most selective collectors who wish to own only truly significant works of prestigious lagoon cabinetmaking.
As is our custom with the rarest furnishings, we have preferred to leave it as found, also in consideration of the excellent condition, to decide with the customer on any restoration and polishing intervention.
