Exceptional Eucharistic display canopy, small throne with carved wooden crown with uprights, gilded and silvered - 18th century.
Carved, gilded, and silvered wooden 'tronetto' (small throne) from the 18th century.
The crown, slightly oval in shape, consists of scrolls alternating with friezes featuring gold and silver leaf cartouches.
The crown is edged with lambrequins with textured decorations.
It presents with original gilding and silvering, in good general condition with minimal signs of wear consistent with the dating to the early 18th century.
Laterally, corresponding to the lambrequins, there are two openings where the two uprights are inserted; the insertion irons are original to the period.
The uprights are carved with scrolls and enriched with floral and foliate motifs.
The crown and uprights are centered, meaning they are carved, gilded, and silvered on all sides.
Good state of preservation.
The base of the uprights is squared in raw wood and was to be fixed on a platform (missing).
A rare piece of furniture to find on the antique market.
