Large decorated Sevrés porcelain cup, late 19th century. Beautiful and large Sevrés porcelain cup, polychrome decorations on both sides, on a cobalt blue background, floral decorations on the front and back and beautiful and rich gilt bronze applications. Beautiful painted decoration present throughout the interior of the bowl, depicting the goddess Diana, with a signature in the lower right corner. Diana is an Italic, Latin, and Roman Goddess, lady of the forests and wild animals, guardian of springs and streams, protector of women especially during childbirth, and the one who established the power of kingship. Measurements: H 40 x W 40 x D 30.5 cm
