Description:
Antique and interesting sculpture from the mid-19th century representing the Sacred Heart of the Child Jesus (height including base cm.75, Jesus alone cm.65): made of lacquered wood with glass eyes, it is complete with its original dress and the embossed silver halo (photo No. 10). The simulacrum, in perfect patina having never undergone any type of intervention, is placed on an original base in gilded and lacquered wood (cm.25x25; h.8), decorated with floral elements (photo No. 6). Of Sardinian origin, it is also accompanied by a framed and never opened writing (photo No. 8) that tells of when it was blessed, on November 12, 1880, by His Excellency R.ma Mons. Don Paolo Serci (1827/1900), then Bishop of Ogliastra, later Archbishop of Cagliari. It is in an excellent state of conservation.
