Pair of gilded bronze and marble candelabras, France 19th century
Description:
Pair of gilded bronze and marble candelabras, France 19th century Measurements: cm H 56 x D 24 x W 27. base 13 x 13 Price: private negotiation Item accompanied by a certificate of authenticity The pair of three-light candelabras was made in the early 19th century in France in the Louis XVI style. Each candelabra consists of a central white marble part in the shape of a vase decorated with festoons and goat heads in gilded bronze. Three arms in richly chiseled gilded bronze in the shape of branches emerge from the top of the vase, ending with bobeches shaped like rose flowers. The central vase rests on a cubic marble base decorated with bas-relief chiseled bronze elements, which in turn rests on a square-based parallelepiped in white marble with a bronze reserve in acanthus leaf and circular gilded bronze feet. The two candelabras, distinctly ornamental, can be easily placed on consoles, chests of drawers or tables, both antique and modern. They have an excellent effect when placed as a centerpiece on a sourtout with mirror or in front of a mirror through which their three-dimensionality will be fully appreciated. They will bring great brightness, decor and vivacity to your rooms thanks to the richness of gold and white marble.
