Desk resting on curved legs with goat feet, a drawer in the under-table band, a top and raised section with a carved crest depicting phytomorphic motifs and a central star. On the back, the raised section features a coeval protrusion indicating that the piece of furniture belonged to a boiserie, probably a bookcase. The piece of furniture is decorated with inlays depicting floral motifs present in the solid wood of the top and walnut burl veneer with maple stringing also present on the drawer and raised section. Lombardy, second quarter of the 18th century.
