Gilt and chiselled bronze clock. The complex decoration of this clock, despite the apparent eclecticism of the whole, prioritizes structural typologies and figurative details typical of sixteenth-century architecture, recreating the facade of a palace with a central staircase and statues of Vestal Virgins on the sides. The enamelled metal dial bears the mark of the manufacture in the center, but it is barely legible. The clock is surmounted by cherubs holding a garland. Mechanism marked Cailly Ainè 1839 on the back of the dial.
