Painted and lacquered wooden trumeau
Description:
This extraordinary trumeau with a lacquered blue background is enhanced by golden mecca highlights. Numerous floral decorations are revealed on a delicate ivory background. The upper section is divided into two mirrored doors and surmounted by a broken pediment crest. The lower section features a drop-front desk panel with a series of six decorated small drawers. The trumeau, slightly curved on the front and both sides, rests on "en cabriole" supports.
