This extraordinary sculpture depicting a magnificent rearing horse is a unique work by Remo Bombardieri, one of the most talented Italian artists of the 20th century.
The artist is the only one to develop a very difficult and challenging sculptural technique that consists of using electric welded steel wires. By assembling the steel wires with an oxy-acetylene torch, he is able to model animal figures of incredible scenic effect.
In love with the perfect physical structure of horses, he reproduces magnificent specimens of thoroughbreds in spectacular movements.
An internationally renowned artist, Bombardieri has created several monuments in public and private places, acclaimed by critics and the public.
Among these, we mention the monument dedicated to prisoners of war exhibited in Piazza Cremona, inaugurated in 1982 by President Pertini.
