This important pair of large armchairs was made in Venice around the beginning of the 19th century, in the Louis XIV-Regency style.
The armchairs feature a remarkable carving quality with volute and scroll elements. The backrest ends with a mixtilinear crosspiece; the armrests and the band supporting the seat are richly carved, and the moved legs are joined by a lavish sculpted cross, surmounted in the center by a vase element.
These two armchairs can be used in pairs or individually in different rooms of your home. They are very decorative and can also be considered as head chairs in your dining room.
