The mirror, made in Turin in the mid-18th century, features a wooden box frame, composed of three concentric sections. The outer part, molded and gilded, is carved with foliage motifs in the corners and at the center of each side. The innermost part, also gilded, has a carving with foliage motifs that runs consequentially on all sides. The central section has applications of original mercury mirrors interrupted by 8 gilded wooden bas-reliefs in the shape of a flower. Two of these mirrors were replaced in the 19th century. The central mirror was also replaced in the 19th century.
The delightful mirror, eminently decorative, can be presented both vertically and horizontally thanks to the perfect symmetry of the carvings, and can be placed in any room of your home where it will restore a lot of light and elegance. The contained dimensions also allow insertion in a modern apartment, arranged above a chest of drawers or a console. Good condition.
