This girl in village costume was painted, in my opinion, by Tomaso Bugoni, who died in Venice, where he was born, after 1767. Certain similarities with his Holy Family, dated 1736, kept in the church of San Simeone Piccolo, characterized by a sort of delicate languor diffused over the faces, in particular of the Madonna and the adolescent son, make me think it is by him. The way of treating the drapery also corresponds.
