Central Bohemia, approximately 1845, probably Wihlelm Hoffmann's atelier, Prague and Karlsbad. Wonderful chalice with lid finely painted with "enamel", with enamels and brush gilding. Ruby glass covered with "milk" glass (Milchglas) ground and masterfully painted. The painted child plays in various bucolic scenes. From 1839, Wihlelm Hoffmann and his brother Karl produced these splendid artifacts in Prague and in the Karlsbad branch (present-day Karlovivary). Typical of this manufacture is the high quality of the painting and the neo-Gothic motifs. In perfect condition, without restorations. Height 27 cm and width 11 cm. ( ). Das Boemische Glas Band II.
