Asco returns to the figurative in a moment of his career in which he seemed definitively distanced from it, but it is certainly not unpredictability that he lacks.
This work with witty connotations offers a curious reinterpretation of the sculptural primitivism of the 1920s/30s, supported by an accentuated synthesis of features.
The details of the hands, in their perfect plastic rendering, and the sinuosity of the body, winking, irreverent and "smirking", bring to light Asco's technical virtuosity, which is excellent.
