Modern taste for this rare old kilim runner, coming from a village in the Western Sahara. The dark color of the wools used is justified by the fact that the eyes had to rest from the blinding sun of the desert. In Berber, the name Zemmur means "pond of olive trees", evidently an oasis.
Not easy to place, but fascinating and very robust.
