Refined bas-relief terracotta Madonna and Child taken from the famous panel of 1460 (today kept in the Hermitage museum in St. Petersburg), the work of the famous Tuscan sculptor of the fifteenth century Antonio Rossellino (Settignano, 1427 - Florence, 1479).
This beautiful tile takes up the original colors of the ancient terracottas of the Renaissance area. The Blessed Virgin is depicted here enthroned while she holds the seated Child.
In good condition, a work of great symbolic and devotional significance.
