This refined and important pair of armchairs was made around the mid-18th century in France in carved wood, lacquered in shades of ivory and gilded and reflects the stylistic dictates typical of the Louis XV period.
The armchairs are distinguished by their elegance in the curved shapes: the seat is supported by a curved band carved with floral elements as is the backrest. The legs are arched and the foot carved. The armrests, slightly curved and connected to the seat, contribute to giving a particularly harmonious line.
The armchairs, which can be placed together or individually, are very decorative either in an entrance or in a living room. Their small size makes them also suitable in front of a fireplace or in a bedroom.
