Riccardo Cordero was born in 1942 in Alba (Cuneo). He graduated in sculpture from the Albertina Academy of Turin, where he later held a professorship until 2000.
The presence of countless public works throughout the national and international territory – think of the monumental stainless steel works, from the "Comet" of the Rose Garden in Taiwan to the "Meteor" of the Sculpture Park in Shanghai – make Cordero one of the most well-known and appreciated sculptors in the contemporary art scene. Since 1995 he has been president of the Piedmontese Art Association.
