Group of four Empire style chairs with brass inlays
Description:
Splendid group of four walnut tub chairs with brass inlays on the front. The backrest panel is beautifully and masterfully carved with an elegant neoclassical rosette in the center and small bells at the corners. Meticulous additional details further embellish the chairs: disc-shaped backrest tips, scroll-shaped backrest upright bases, and a veneered seat belt to conceal the joints between legs and crossbars.
The presence of these virtuoso features makes this group of chairs of truly rare quality, fully meeting the standards of the Empire period and most likely produced by one of the best Milanese workshops of the time.
