Pair of walnut Louis Philippe chairs. These seats feature an open back, arched in shape, richly carved with a cartouche motif in the central part, surrounded by foliate volutes. The seat is wide and shaped and is supported in the front by two carved and moved legs that connect to the band in such a way as to continue the decorative motif, while the simpler rear legs arch slightly backwards. This pair of chairs, while presenting a design common to the period, differ due to a superior quality of workmanship and particular attention to sections and proportions.
