Painting on panel "Capriccio with bridge over a canal" by B. Rizzo.
It is a fantastic representation set in Venice.
The term Capriccio refers, in fact, to this genre of invented images set in a real place.
At the center of the panoramic painting is the bridge over the canal.
The water meanders wearily on the masonry banks.
Beyond the main bridge, another bridge can be seen in the distance and after this, the sea.
It is understood that we are on the edge of the city since to the left of the center the mast of a ship rises with a fluttering sail.
On the left, perhaps, an internal garden can be seen, which is accessed through a semi-ruined arch.
On the right, the facade of a small church and the wall of a building on which a pointed arch opens can be seen. Groups of people are distributed on the bridge and on the banks of the canal. They are just sketched figures that serve to animate the scene.
