Clock with cherub
Gilt bronze and porcelain, H. 33.5 cm, W. 42.5 cm, D. 16 cm
Elegant table clock supported by a gilded bronze base decorated with polychrome porcelain plaques and hand-painted with floral themes. At the top is a sculpture of a winged cherub striking a drum with a wand, inside which the clock itself is contained.
The dial is in white enamel with Roman numerals for the hours, blued steel 'Lepine' hands, pendulum movement with metal suspension, hour and half-hour chime on bell with 'spartiore' wheel system.
