Beautiful pair of late seventeenth-century doors with contemporary lacquers and gold leaf decorations.
Description:
Four doors forming two pairs, usable both as boiserie and as wall cabinets, which still have their original seventeenth-century lacquer: External frames in faux green marble and internal ocher yellow frames on an aquamarine background.
The central decorations with a vegetable garland are made with gold leaf and are perfectly preserved.
Furnishing elements in this style are typical of the Adriatic area, from the Marche to the Veneto region.
On the back of the door are the signs of two locks, so originally two keys could be used to open it.
The dimensions x pair are: 93 x 165; the other 93 x 162.
The proposed objects have never undergone restoration work, but are still in excellent condition, especially in the patina and paints which have been maintained in their entirety. It is possible to have the small interventions they need carried out personally.
We enclose a historical certificate of authenticity with the sale.
