Description:
Antique and interesting two-body Sardinian (Campidano) sideboard made of pitchpine in the late 1800s. Dome-shaped top with carved crest, as are the side uprights of both bodies: in the upper part there is a carving of flowers and leaves with a carved mask at the top. Below the top are two paneled drawers like the lower doors. The upper doors with original glass are embellished in the upper part with fretwork carved corners (photo #4), while the sides of the 'panarola' that supports the upper body are two fully-rounded carved elements that represent zoomorphic figures. The feet echo the decoration of the mask carved on top of the upper friezes. The measurements of the upper body are as follows: cm 136x49; h.105 while the lower measures cm 125x42; h.153. The antique Campidanese sideboard has been recently restored with a wax finish and is in excellent condition. The price includes transport.
