Very elegant piece of furniture, entirely in solid walnut, with 4 doors and 2 central drawers. Floral decorations in relief are highlighted by the India ink background. Original iron hardware from the period. The daisy-shaped decoration in the center of each door represents the unmistakable mark of Ligurian cabinetmaking of that period. The onion feet reflect the French influence.
A rare example of elegance, cabinetmaking refinement, and stylistic sobriety, in original patina and excellent condition of preservation and originality.
Liguria - first half of the 17th century.
