Museum-quality and valuable.
"Priest's Hat" Table,
completely in solid walnut
and walnut feather veneer on walnut,
dating back to the first half of the 19th century
in the full Louis Philippe period.
The structural characteristics are those of this period,
oval tabletop shape with a mixtilinear profile,
with a simple baluster-turned stem,
with ring accents and pronounced grooves.
The volute feet create a basket support motif,
with a cloven-hoof support shoe,
and the pendant, in the shape of a flattened onion, is also turned.
A thick walnut feather veneer
covers the surface of the top,
arranged in a mirrored fashion.
Completely restored. No intervention recommended.
Viewing and possible local pickup are welcome.
