Eight coasters numbered from 1 to 8 with "Coins" decor for Banca Unione Milano, glazed and decorated porcelain with silkscreens and pure gold, Piero Fornasetti (1931-1988), 1970. Marked "Fornasetti- Milano Made in Italy" Original box in golden cardboard. Dimensions: Diameter 10 cm In good condition. This is a complete collection series of eight coasters that were produced on an idea by Piero Fornasetti in 1970 on the express order of Banca Unione of Milan as a gift to its customers. The saucers are all numbered and in ascending order are: 1) Boat, 2) House, 3) Idea, 4) Everything, 5) Holidays, 6) Christmas, 7) Student, 8) Car. These serigraphs designed by the master represent eight variations on the theme of coins made in black and pure gold in the third firing, indicating with the latter term the third firing that is applied to an object to add decorations, in particular those in pure gold.
