GASHGAI Cicim or Jajim - n. 914 -  Translated
Description:
Gashgai (or Kashgai) nomad carpet woven on the loom as "cicim" or "jajim," meaning without the pile. It is a typical product of nomads and serves as a blanket, as covering for household goods, as a tent, or simply for not lying on the bare ground. The design is very simple, almost childlike: small stylized animals like deer and dogs, small flowers barely sketched: it could have been woven by a young girl in several strips, then assembled. The wool is hand-spun and dyed with a few plant substances. Also suitable placed on a sofa. It measures cm. 188x 180 (strange size...) and probably dates back to the 1940s-50s. Discounted price because I would like to close the deal.  Translated
